New Pictorial Directory Photo Sessions
September 4th-8th (8th is Full)
September 10th-12th
All members and regular attendees are encouraged to participate as we make a new directory that will put names with faces, help us connect with each other, and reach out to new families.
Sign-ups for appointments end this Sunday, September 2nd and are in the gathering area outside the Fellowship Hall.
Each family that participates will get a free directory and an 8×10 portrait.
Should you want additional portraits, they will be available for purchase at the time of your session and will be available in time for Christmas.
Please have the following information with you to keep our directory up-to-date:
- Your current address.
- If you have dropped your land line and use a cell phone, please be sure that we have your current number.
- If you have grown children that have moved away, please be sure we have their current address and their current names if they have married.
Volunteers Needed For Sign-In Table
We will need volunteers to work the tables during the photography sessions.
These volunteers will only need to meet people, greet people, and ensure that everyone checks their information when they check in for their session time.
Sign-up sheet is located on the sign-up table on a clipboard.
Thank you to all who are helping out in this important event!

Community Project Items Needed

and Glue Sticks
for a community project later this year.
Please continue to bring them to the special boxes located in the Overflow and outside the Fellowship Hall, or to the office.
Mission Opportunities
There are three mission opportunities available to sign-up for. We often ask God, “Why don’t you do something about the bad things that are happening in this World?”. God responds by reminding us that he put us on this Earth for a reason. This reason, of course, is to help those who are affected by these “bad things”. We each do this by bringing our gifts given by God together to help those in need. Let us all be encouraged by the example of Christ to serve the Kingdom of God here on Earth.
Habitat Build
Volunteers are needed for light construction (no experience needed). We will need donations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well. Volunteers can also participate in a Bible study with the family. Please contact Kristi Zemaitis at zkristiusa@gmail.com or Marcie Garringer at mjgarringer@comcast.net for more information and to sign-up.
Mentor at HCHS
This program involves pairing volunteers with students from HCHS in need of a mentor.
If you are interested, please contact Marcie in the church office for forms.
Preschool Volunteer
Volunteers are needed both with the kids and behind the scenes in the Preschool.
Contact Renee Curry at the number listed in your monthly bulletin to find out how you can help.
Playground Fund
Donations are still needed to help purchase new playground equipment for the children.
While we can get financial support through grants, we will need more than we can get in the grant.
You can either make a check to the church and designate it for the Playground or you can drop loose change into the jars placed around the church.
Guest Readers
The preschool tries to have a mystery reader at the end of every week come and read a favorite children’s book to the children.
If you are interested in being a guest reader, contact Allyson Morris, Director at the church office.
Fall Small Groups
Fall Small Groups will begin the week of September 9th. Your group leader will remind you of the meeting time and place.
The New Church Doors Are Finished

HFUMC is very proud of the new doors God has provided. We would like to thank the Trustees and all who had a part in getting them completed and paid for.
