Mother’s Day – Sunday, May 5th and 12th Photo Opportunity
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12th.
We will have a backdrop in the Gathering Area for you to take pictures with your family.
Please bring your family to worship and take pictures.
Let’s celebrate all Moms and those that Mother us in many ways.
Worship On The Water (WOW)
Join us at 6pm at the HFUMC Lake Lot for our Worship On The Water service.
The Wreath Ceremony will be at 6:30pm.
Join us on land after for hotdogs and chips at the shelter.
Come by boat or car to the HFUMC Lake Lot located at 400 Methodist Park Lane near Elrod Ferry and POC #3.
Join us each Sunday in June starting at 6pm for more WOW services. More info coming soon.
UMW General Meeting
The United Methodist Women will hold their General Meeting in the Fellowship Hall at 12pm on Monday, May 20th.
This will be a pot luck picnic, so please bring a covered dish.
The program will be on Women’s Safety with Investigator Chris Carroll from the Sheriff’s Department.
All women are invited and encouraged to bring a friend!
Picnic With A Purpose!
All FUMC Women and Men are invited to a picnic with some of your favorite picnic foods to eat on Thursday, May 9th, at 5:30pm at the Methodist Lake Lot (HFUMC Gym if inclement weather occurs).
We will also have games, prizes, and a silent auction (Please bring a silent auction item that can include handmade crafts, baked goods, or re-gifted items).
Proceeds will go to UMW Missions.
All men are invited to attend the Methodist Men’s monthly breakfast meeting this Sunday, May 5th at 7:30am in the Fellowship Hall.
Annual Methodist Men’s BBQ
Sunday, June 2nd, from 11:30am to 1:30pm Dine In or Carry Out
BBQ plates will have pulled pork, baked beans, cole slaw, and dessert.
Tickets will be $10 each and can be obtained from the men or in the church office.
Wednesday Night Supper
No WNS for the summer. Please join us back in the Fall for more food, fun, and fellowship!
The Red Cross Blood Drive
Will be held on Tuesday, May 21st from 2pm-7pm in the Fellowship Hall.

Hart County Clothes Closet / Food Pantry
Sunday, May 5th, is our regular Sunday to bring food for the Food Pantry.
Please bring your donations to the boxes located in the Gathering Area, back of the Sanctuary, or bring them by the church office.

Comedy Play and Silent Auction

Doors open at 2:00pm for Silent Auction
Show begins at 3:00pm. Tickets are $10.00 each.
Silent Auction items will be open for bidding on Sunday, May 19th during services then again during the show.
There will be a variety of items, including many that were brought back from the Israel trip.
All proceeds will benefit Local Missions and the Summer Mission Trip to Spirit Lake.
Walmart Gift Cards Needed
We are collecting Walmart gift cards to take to Spirit Lake for the Mission Trip.
The Mission Team will present these gift cards as a gift on behalf of our church.
The gift cards will be used to purchase food for their food bank and school supplies for the children.
If you would like to send a gift card with the mission team, please bring it to the church office.
Please mark the amount on the gift card.

Sojourners Monthly Activity
Lunch at The Lighthouse in Seneca, SC (on Lake Keowee) – Thursday, May 16th.
Bus leaves at 10:45am from the church gym and transportation will be $5 each when you get on the bus.
You must make a reservation by calling Beau at the church office giving your name and phone number.
Preschool Registration for the 2019-2020 year taking place
The Two-year-old class is full.
There are a few places still open in the Three and Four-year-old classes. Registration forms are in the Preschool and in the church office.
PreSchool Summer Camp 2019 – June 17-21 / 8:05am-12noon / Ages 2-5
“All Creatures of Our God and King”
Special activities each day on all the animals and things God created.
Children will rotate through a variety of activities such as art, music, motor skills, and cooking.
Registration forms are in the Children’s area and the church office.
Forms need to be returned by June 1st.
We will be honoring High School and College Graduates in a special Graduation Bulletin on Sunday, May 19, 2019.
If you have a child or grandchild (or spouse) that you would like to have in the bulletin, please get the information to the church office by May 6th.
We will include anyone who has graduated since the Summer of 2018.
