Revival Schedule for October 28th-31st

On Sunday, October 28th, Reverend Ann Mann will be leading our worship services for all three worship services. She used to serve in the Savannah Valley Circuit and is now serving at Due West UMC in Marietta, GA.

Join us for a fun-filled Family Day Fall Festival in the Gym at 11:00am on the same day in the Gym followed by a Trunk or Treat in the Parking lot near the Gym. A Chili Cook-off will follow in the Fellowship Hall.


Join us for supper with Rolling Chefs in the Fellowship Hall at 5:15pm on Monday, October 29th. Tickets are $12 each and are available for purchase today through October 22nd in the Gathering Area on Sundays and Wednesdays. Tickets will also be available to purchase in the Church Office the rest of the week. No carryout will be available. The main entree choices are listed below:

  • Parmesan Crusted Chicken – Fresh Chicken Breast with Panko and Parmesan Cheese Blend, Grilled to Golden Brown and topped with our signature Asiago Cream Sauce.
  • Country BBQ Chicken Breast – Grilled Chicken Breast smothered with Provolone, Cheddar, Bacon and peach BBQ sauce.
  • Roasted Pork Loin – Slow roasted Pork Loin; thin sliced served with pecan and Peach Chutney Sauce.

You can choose from Roasted Red Potatoes with caramelized onions, vegetable medley, or Green Bean Casserole. Tea or water with Dessert will also be available.

Join us at 6:30pm after supper for a visit from Reverend Andrew Chappell and the Youth Band. Reverend Andrew was an intern at Hartwell First many years back and is now an Associate Pastor at Northbrook UMC in Roswell, GA.


On Tuesday, October 30th at 5:30pm, we will be having a covered dish supper in the Fellowship Hall followed by a visit from Dr. Don Wyrtzen at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. He is a Poet of the Piano, a leading musician, and statesman in Christian Music from Mansfield, Texas.


Wednesday Night Supper and Performance Canceled

Due to water damage to the Fellowship Hall, Wednesday Night Supper and the performance from the Hart County High School band have both been canceled.

Habitat Build Date Change

The date has been changed for the Habitat Build due to a delay in delivery of supplies from North Carolina due to the recent hurricane to Wednesday, October 17th. Help is needed in a variety of areas from construction to making donations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can also participate in a Bible Study with the family.

Mission Trip Summer 2019

A mission trip will be held at Spirit Lake Ministry in North Dakota from June 15-21.

Informational Meetings will be held on Sunday, October 14th at 11:00am and 12:00pm in the Joyful room (1st floor of Education Building) and on Wednesday, October 17th at 7:00pm in the Choir Room.

All who are interested in attending should attend a meeting where applications will be available.

Join Dr. R. Allen Stewart from March 5th-12th, 2019 on a Holy Land Tour.

Join Dr. R. Allen and Tracey Stewart from June 19th-July 2nd, 2019 on 11 days aboard the Norwegian Jade with two days in Rome. They will take a tour of Paul’s 4th Missionary Journey.

Boo Bash

On October 31st, we will be having our annual Boo Bash from 6-8pm with Rides, Games and Prizes and More.

Hotdogs, Chips, Water, and Sodas will be served!

Volunteers are needed! If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the form included with your weekly bulletin and drop into the offering plate or email Marcie Garringer at Marcie will contact you to find out which area and time will work best for you.
