During July 8-11  the youth of Hartwell First traveled to Milledgeville to participate in a mission project. They  partnered with the Milledgeville church and other methodist churches to perform  work at 20 different work sites. Some of their projects were: building wheelchair ramps, constructing decks, repairing roofs, painting and landscaping.

Jeremy Green, youth director, led 28 youth in this mission. He was assisted by Pam Quinn, Andrew Chappell, and Laurie Foster.

This year’s theme was “Forward Motion- taking steps rather than leaps”. Commenting on the mission Jeremy said, “River of Life is about helping others but realizing how much more we were blessed by our service.”

Hartwell First is proud of its youth for their dedication and service.
